French Provincial Oak Antique Cabinet or Cupboard

This display cupboard was hand-carved of solid oak about 1800, and is authentic antique French provincial furniture. There are 60 wavy glass panes of various ages.

The rich brown finish is superb with wonderful patina and character - see photos of wear and mars from two centuries of use. Raised panels are hand-carved with delicate detail on the doors. Even the back panels are hand-hewn - wooden pegs and hand-made nails are visible.

Well proportioned, this historic cabinet could have many uses. The lower shelf is adjustable on wooden supports. For transport, the crown is removable and doors can lift off their cast brass hinges. Iron door locks and oversize keys are operational.

Dimensions of this historic country French cabinet are 6' wide, 26" deep and 7'5" tall.
