Authentic late Victorian or Eastlake furniture, this queen size bed and marble top dresser date from about 1880. Carved of solid mahogany and walnut, the finish is excellent with only slight mars at the edges.
Impressive American antique furniture, the bold moldings and detailed carving are the best of its era. The bed has been adapted to fit standard modern queen size bedding, and measures 7'6" tall, 5'4" wide, and 7'6" long.
There is a beveled mirror on the large chest or dresser, note rust-colored stains on the marble top. Drawers have hand-cut dovetails and original gargoyle brasses. Measurements are 7'6" tall, 46" wide, 23" deep and the surface is 30" from the floor.
