Unbelievable carving in the base of this writing desk, library or hall table includes three-dimensional winged griffins, paw feet, gargoyle heads and fruit.

The artistry in solid walnut is remarkable, dating from about 1900. There are shrinkage separations in the top and ends, see photos. The gleaming finish is excellent on this substantial antique furniture.

Measurements are 6'7" long, 39" deep, 32" tall and legroom is 25" high underneath.
