This laboratory or pharmacy scale was the height of scientific equipment in its day, the late 1930's. Signed "Wm. Ainsworth and Sons of Denver" inside, the scale was sold by the "Wilkens Anderson Co, Chicago."
The case is crackle black enamel, the interior floor is thick black glass, and mounts are brass. There are various pulleys, rests, and adjustments that may or may not work properly. The sliding front door will not stay open until the internal counterweights are properly reconnected. Inside is a level, feet are adjustable and size is 19" wide, 9" deep and 19" tall.
