Pair Victorian Carved Oak 57" Antique Candlesticks

This pair of Victorian carved oak candlesticks has removable pewter mounts and ruby glass inserts, one with damage. One of the glass inserts has a large chunk broken out - see photo.
The original finish from about 1895 is in very good condition. See also a photo showing pillar candles used instead of the red glass - the entire pewter mounts can be removed, and the wooden part only could be adapted for another design or use, as desired.
Diameter of the base is 12", overall height is 57" and the oak part alone is 43" tall.
