Family Saved From Shipwreck, 1828 Engraving

    An exquisite engraving of "A Family Saved from Shipwreck" is dated 1828, and is mounted in a burl grained frame that dates from about 1860.

There are stains and "foxing" to the paper, and minor wear to the frame, which has delicate incised carving.

It is "Dedicated to Rear Admiral Sir Charles Napier" by the painter and engraver, John Burnet.

Overall size of the frame on this charming English antique is 34" x 28."
