A striking grandfather or tall case clock has Art Deco lines and shows Art Nouveau influence as well. Most unusual about this circa 1910 antique clock is the hand-finished, hammered and engraved metalwork in bronze, brass, nickel and pewter. Every pane of glass is shaped and beveled, the original finish on rosewood is very fine with a few dimples on the right side, see photos.
The 8 day brass movement has been cleaned and oiled and runs perfectly, the winding crank is original. An unusual strike is once at the quarter hour, twice at the half, three times at the 3/4 hour and 4 times on the hour, followed by a chime counting the hours. Size of this elegant furniture is 19" wide, 12" deep and 6'6" tall.
