An outstanding antique roll top desk is signed "Revell & Co., Standard." It is solid quarter sawn oak and has raised panels on all sides. The "S" curve top slides smoothly, inside are tiny cubicles and drawers with original brass pulls. There are mail slots at both ends for receiving mail when locked.
The rich deep brown finish is excellent with raised panels all around, there are minor mars at the edges for a little character.
This is very rugged furniture, there is a file drawer and 2 pull out shelves for extra work space. Deep drawers have dovetailed joints.
Easily disassembled for moving, dimensions of this classic American desk are 5 1/2' long, 35" deep, 44" tall and the writing surface is 29" above the floor. Kneehole size is 32" wide and 24 1/2" high.
