At first glance, this 1930's "Speakeasy" antique appears to be a carved fireplace, with a grained faux marble base and hearth. When opened, the Prohibition-era secret is revealed - inside is a three-sided bar with a lighted and mirrored serving area behind.

Tiny finger grooves allow the front panel to drop, inside was once a radio plus the release button to unlock the bar. Then the front section pulls out on wheels, the sides raise and latch into place, the back panel lifts up, lights go on automatically and the bar is in business.

There is a brass footrail along the front. The finish is very good on walnut with minor touch-ups, note imperfections to the plate mirror interior.

When in the "fireplace" mode, dimensions are 4'10" wide, 22" deep and 5'6" tall. Opened to "Speakeasy" mode, this clever bar projects 5' from the wall.
