Signed by the most famous maker of lawyer's stacking bookcases, "Globe Wernicke," the top section has a leaded glass door. This 5 section glass front unit also has separate bases and tops, doors slide smoothly. All of the glass except one is original and wavy.
Fine quartersawn oak, the rich brown finish is in excellent condition. This antique American furniture dates from about 1910.
The top two sections accommodate books up to 10 1/2" tall and 9 1/2" deep, the center section up to 12 1/2" tall and 9 1/2" deep, and the two oversize bottom sections up to 13 1/2" tall and 12" deep. Overall size is 34" wide, 15" deep and 6' 9" tall
