Oak China, Curio or Bookcase, Carved Lions & Rams

The high-relief artistry in this china, curio or bookcase cabinet is magnificently hand-carved in remarkably high relief with heads of lions and rams. Solid oak furniture from about 1880, the swags of fruit and flowers are especially wonderful.

Stately and sculptural moldings are also hand carved. Deep and rich, the original finish has been cleaned and polished - it is warm with marvelous patina. Shelves inside are adjustable on wooden supports. There are inscriptions on the bottomside from the early 1900's, probably by different owners.

Measurements of this historic palatial antique are 5'11" wide, 26" deep and 7' tall.
