This classic roll-top desk, signed "Marshall Field and Co.," is from the Arts & Crafts period, just after 1900. Beautiful mahogany, the rich deep finish is excellent, with only minor mars.

Deep dovetailed drawers include a large file drawer, and two pull-out shelves add workspace. The roll operates smoothly, inside are tiny compartments, drawers, letter holders and a removable tray.

Signed on the brass keyhole plate, the heavy weight brasses and feet are original.

Clean lines and rich natural wood distinguish this American antique furniture, size is 5' long, 34" deep, 43" tall and the writing surface is 30" high. The kneehole is 23" wide and 24 1/2" tall. Chair is not included.
