Bombe Walnut Burl & Rosewood Antique Chest, Dresser

    This "bombe" or convex shaped antique chest or dresser is also called a "commode." It has magnificent diagonally matched mahogany with satinwood inlaid marquetry. The lustrous finish is in superb condition with wonderful deep rich patina.

Cast brass pulls and mounts are original from the 1930's. The richly grained famous "Rouge" marble top is excellent. Drawers have solid oak sides with hand-cut dovetails.

Robust and very usable furniture, this graceful chest would beautify many rooms. Dimensions are 40" wide, 18" deep, and 36" tall.
