New England 9 Drawer Chest or Dresser

    Hand-crafted in New England about 1840, this nine drawer chest is solid walnut with one-board pine sides. The lustrous finish is excellent with glowing patina.

Straightforward Yankee craftsmanship shows in the beautifully hand cut dovetailed drawers, chamfered bottoms and the over-one-inch thick top and backsplash. Square nails are visible on the rough sawn back.

There is ample storage in this beautiful American antique furniture, notice the small shrinkage separation on the right top. Size is 4'2" wide, 21" deep and 49" tall
