A classic red marble French mantel clock has a sculpture of a whistling boy, "Siffleur," signed "H. Tremo." The 8 day clock is a good runner, and strikes the hour and half on a silvery toned bell. Marble and brass mounts are in superb condition, and this clock is an original from about 1900. There are difficult to see hairline cracks at the top of the dial - see photos
The jaunty statue is in excellent condition, with slight wear to the patina. Tremo is noted for his winsome genre sculpture, charming works of art capturing ordinary people in unselfconscious naturalistic poses.
Size of this antique clock is 13" wide, 6" deep, 25" tall, the statue alone is 18" high.
