Richly hand-carved of solid oak in the Renaissance manner, this bookcase has lion heads in bold relief. The sculptor's tool marks are evidence of his great skill.

Wooden pegs secure the joints. The original finish from about 1880 has a vibrant luster. Shelves are adjustable on wooden supports, the lower drawer is hand dovetailed and it is opened by pulling the lion head. Beveled glass in the door and bun feet complete this historic furniture.

Measurements of this noble antique are 41" wide, 19" deep and 6'10" tall.
