Signed by one of the finest American clock makers, this traditional mantel clock plays the familiar Westminster chime on the quarter hour, and also strikes the hour. The exquisitely machined 8 day brass movement is signed "Herschede of Cincinnati," the most recent patent date is "Oct. 21, 1919."
Professionally cleaned and oiled, this is a very good running clock with resonant deep chimes. The case is mahogany with birdseye maple panels, the finish is very fine. Notice scratches to the original dial behind the beveled glass door. The original paper label on the inside of the back door is printed, "Model 20." Size is 9" tall, 6" deep and 21" wide.
