Historically hand-carved in the 1700's, this "treasure chest" trunk was also called a coffer. Hand-wrought iron handles and mounts appear original. Solid oak, there have been many repairs and replacements over the centuries as would be expected.

Every surface is hand-hewn or planed on this radiant antique furniture secured with wooden pegs.

The polished old finish is deep and rich, the back is finished as well. Interior bottom has been replaced, the lock is missing. There are two interior compartments. Measurements are 48" long, 22" deep and 28" tall.
