This richly carved oak hunt board looks like it belongs in a stately English country manor.
Deeply turned legs show Henry VIII or Renaissance design with bold carved detailing and moldings. The lustrous deep brown finish is in excellent condition. Drawers have dovetailed joints, and brass pulls are all original. This is very strong and hardy antique American furniture from the 1920's.
This small sideboard is called a hunt board, intended for a cold buffet supper of smoked meat, fish and cheese after hunting. Measurements are 41" long, 21" deep and 37" tall.
