A classic "banjo" wall clock is signed by famous American maker, "Gilbert of Winsted, Conn." Dating from the early 1900's, the engraved dial has hand-painted numbers.
Professionally cleaned and oiled, the 8 day brass movement is a good runner, striking the hour and half. There are losses to the reverse painting in the lower glass door, see photos. A cast brass eagle is atop the the mahogany case, which has a very good finish.
Size of this antique clock is 33" tall, 11" wide and 5" deep.
