Marquetry King Size Bed from France, Bronze Mounts

Spectacular quality, this king size bed has embossed cast bronze mounts and exquisite marquetry. The finish is superb on golden mahogany inlaid with matched elm burl and intricate marquetry of rosewood and satinwood.

Heavy weight mounts are original from about 1900, the footboard is gracefully curved. Siderails are original, and this palatial bed has been expertly adapted to fit standard king size bedding.

Measurements of this world class French antique furniture are 6' 9" wide, 7' 1" long, the headboard is 5' 1" tall and the dramatically curved footboard is 37" high. Matching pieces are sold separately.
