A charming solid cherry two drawer table dates from the late Federal or Sheraton period about 1825. Beautiful tiny hand-cut dovetails, chamfered drawer bottoms and little square nails indicate the age of this lovely American furniture.
Legs are hand-carved in classic Acanthus leaf design, and the top is a single wide plank of cherry. The satiny finish is excellent on all four sides with great antique patina. There are shrinkage separations from age and a few mars at the edges as befits its age, see photos.
Measurements of this well proportioned table are 20" wide, 18" deep and 29" tall.
