An American antique classic, this "Pembroke" or small drop leaf table dates from the Empire period about 1840. Expertly hand-crafted of solid cherry, drawers have flame mahogany drawer fronts, with chamfered and hand cut dovetails.
Legs are elegantly turned and tapered, and the lustrous finish is excellent on all sides with a few minor scratches. The dropleaves are slightly warped from age, see photos.
Measurements are 21" deep, 29 1/2" tall, 20" wide with drops lowered, with both raised width is 40" total.
