This magnificent bombe or convex marble top chest, dresser or commode was crafted in olive wood marquetry, and inlaid with rosewood and satinwood. Entirely original, the gleaming finish has great golden patina with a few of the usual shrinkage separations and mars.

The cast bronze mounts and pulls are original from about 1915 and the Brescia shaped thick marble top is excellent. Drawers are hand dovetailed.

Intricate olive wood grain is splendid on this antique from the Tuscany region of Italy near Florence. This large and dramatic furniture is impressive in any room. Dimensions are 4' 8" wide, 25" deep and 36" tall.
