Hand made in New England during the Sheraton period about 1825, this charming Pembroke or double dropleaf table is solid cherry. Gracefully turned legs and a hand-dovetailed drawer with chamfered bottom show expert Yankee craftsmanship. There are dings on the front and the front of the drawer, other small mars are just "character."
The finish is excellent with lovely warm patina on all sides of this American antique furniture. A single almost 18" wide cherry plank forms the top, and dimensions with the drop leaves down are almost 19" wide, 24" deep and 28 1/2" tall, with both drop leaves raised, width is 37 1/2" total.
