A classic Victorian etagere or corner curio shelf has a twist - trimmed with hand-made leather fruit and flowers. This picturesque example of Americana was also called a "What-Not."
Dating from about 1870, the frame is birch hardwood. The original ebony finish has been cleaned and polished. It is in excellent condition for its age. The leather shows remarkably intricate workmanship with only minor losses.
Size of this historic American furniture is 33" wide across the front, 24" deep on each side and 7' tall.
