Hand carved of poplar and pine about 1860 in New England, this deacon's bench or settee is in top-notch condition.
Sturdy, strong and very usable, the sculpted seat is comfortable - carved from a single plank with beautiful knots in the wood.
The golden brown finish is very fine, and every spindle and plank is hand shaped and planed. Dimensions are 8' 3" long, 19" deep, 33" tall, the seat is 17" high.
