Carved Writing Desk, Leather Top

Elegant European country design - this gorgeous desk is hand-carved of solid fruitwood. The gold-tooled leather top has parquet square impressions, see photos.

Artistic and intricate carving on all sides is understated and beautiful. The original finish is excellent with warm golden patina, there are small shrinkage separations. Wooden pegs, raised panels and hand-cut dovetails show expert craftsmanship on this vintage furniture from about 60 years ago.

Dimensions are 4' 10" long, 30" wide and 30" tall, the kneehole is 23" wide and over 24" high.
