This splendid Victorian Renaissance 2 piece bedroom set includes a bed adapted to standard queen size, and a marble top dresser with a mirror. This furniture dates from about 1870. Solid walnut with lavish scrolled carving, there are also panels of burl. The rich dark finish is very fine, original with later added varnish see photos.

The chest or dresser has candlestands left and right of the mirror, with attached small drawers for jewelry. The shaped marble top is in beautiful condition, drawers below are hand-dovetailed. In the base is a "secret" drawer. Size of this American antique chest is 47" wide, 21" deep and 8' 2" tall.

The bed has been adapted to fit standard modern queen size bedding as shown. Dimensions of this stately bed are 5' 6" wide, 7' 4" long and 7' 8" tall.
