French Carved Antique Rosewood Nightstand

An elegant hand carved antique French rosewood nightstand or bedside table dates from about 1890. The original finish is excellent with warm patina. Exquisite diamond matched panels are outstanding.
Expert carving is in high relief, panels are diagonally matched. Rosewood has a sublime delicate grain and color, is extremely hard, and has a silken original finish. There is a small chip in the marble with an old repair, see photo.
Measurements are 15" wide, 15" deep and 45 1/2" to the back. The surface area is 34" from the floor.
