A traditional country pantry cabinet was called a "jailhouse" cupboard because of the wooden bar grillwork in the window of the door. Solid pine and poplar, this rustic kitchen furniture has square nails and the back is roughsawn.
The finish shows hand-planing and is in very fine condition with lots of antique patina - mars, wear and stains.
American furniture from the 1850's, the door has a small warp. Measurements are 44" wide, 19" deep and 6' 5" tall.
