A Victorian sculpture of a Gypsy street musician carries his "hurdy-gurdy" string instrument and has a monkey in his arm. Cast spelter metal or pewter, this detailed statue is very naturalistic.
The performer is pensively resting on a fencepost, as he cradles his monkey under his jacket, the tail curled underneath.
Dating from about 1890, this antique work of art is nostalgic, height is 12 1/2" tall.
