Set of 6 1900's Oak & Leather Dining Chairs |
These 6 matching antique dining chairs are solid quarter-sawn oak with original leather seats from about 1900. They are totally solid and usable furniture, the finish is excellent in a rich, deep brown.
Curved backs make them quite comfortable, and size is 18" wide, 17" deep, 37" tall, and the seats are 19" high. see similar items |

Alabaster Sculpture of a Lovely Young Girl, Cedrini |
A beautiful and naturalistic original carved alabaster sculpture of a maiden with roses is signed "Italy, G. Cedrini."
The artist incorporates both Art Nouveau and Art Deco influence. This serene work of art dates from the early 1900's, and has no damage or repairs that we can see.
Translucent with very subtle grain, the natural alabaster stone is lovely with a soft matte finish that is very beautiful. There is a marble plinth with minor flakes. This delicate script signature is on the backside, and height..... (added October 5th, 2008) |

English Victorian Silverplate Sugar Scuttle & Scoop |
Exquisite hand engraving and artistic "repousse" work distinguishes this English antique sugar scuttle and scoop.
The silverplate is in excellent condition, with just enough wear and a few scratches for a traditional "butler's finish."
Dating from the early 1900's, the scuttle is signed with a hallmark and "Made in England" - this is a true jewel. Size is 6" long and 5 1/2" tall.
