A wonderful American Empire period work, sewing or lamp table dates from about 1820. The finish is in excellent condition with warm antique patina on richly figured mahogany, the top is a single board.
Hand dovetailed drawers have chamfered bottoms on this beautifully proportioned furniture. On the bottom of one drawer is an old label from a Newark, NJ antique dealer who once sold this gracious table.
The top drawer has dividers once used for inkwells, pincushions and needlework supplies.
Measurements are 26" wide, 18" deep and 31 1/2" tall.
