Dating from the 1890's, this solid oak country icebox signed "Evercold" on a brass plaque has raised panel doors.
Well worn with lots of antique character - mars, stains and shrinkage separations from age - the deep finish has been waxed and buffed. Only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its warm patina.
Brass hardware is original except for the replaced lower under handle. The interior is still lined with tin on this American made kitchen furniture.
At the bottom is a hinged panel where water from melting ice was collected. Size is 27" wide, 18" deep and 51 1/2" tall.
Item # G-B4387
