Hand carved in Germany about 1885, this combination hall bench and bookcase is all original. Spiral columns flank wavy glass doors, shelves inside adjust on wooden supports.
The finish is very well preserved with a little wear and stains on the seat for antique character. Waxed and polished, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its warm patina.
Doors have working locks and there is a second storage compartment under the seat.
Two separate pieces for easier moving, this imposing furniture measures 48 1/2" wide, 33 1/2" deep and 8' 6" tall, the seat is 20" high.
