A quarter sawn oak fireplace mantel and surround with classical columns is architectural salvage from an 1895 era St. Louis house.
The original finish has crackling or crazing from age and has been waxed and buffed, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its deep glow. The mantel shelf has been revarnished for durability. There is "smoke" to the original beveled mirror.
Measurements of this American made antique are 5' wide, 15" deep, 90" tall, the fire opening is 41 1/2" wide and 35" high.
