A splendid "vitrine" - curio or china display cabinet - was hand crafted in Holland around 1900. Genuine rosewood with delicate inlaid marquetry, the original finish is very well preserved with minor irregularities due to age shrinkage.
Waxed and polished, all that is needed to maintain its warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.
Lavish cast brass mounts are original. Double curved glass door pane and ebony mounts are characteristically Dutch.
The worn velvet lining is original, if it is not charming, it can be replaced as desired.
Dimensions are 34" wide, 19" deep and 67" tall.
