This stunning tall bookcase is solid walnut and from the late Victorian or Eastlake period about 1880. There are 4 sliding glass doors, a wainscoting back and shelves are adjustable on stout wooden pegs.
The left side has delicate incised carving, and there is lots of character - stains and mars - see photos. A warm finish with glowing patina is very fine on this historic furniture. The wavy glass is original.
Measurements are 47" wide, 12" deep and 8'2" tall. The interior shelves are 8" deep.
