A genuine bentwood youth or child's chair dates from the Art Nouveau period, about 1900, and has an embossed or pressed design in the seat.
Sturdy and rugged, these famous design chairs were often used in cafes. This antique furniture has added varnish, but doesn't appear to have been refinished.
Measurements are 14" wide, 19" deep, 37" tall and the seat is 22" high.
