An authentic Arts and Crafts or Mission Oak period rocking chair is solid quartersawn oak, and dates from the very early 1900's. The deep brown finish is excellent, there are only small mars.
Very strong and sound, this American antique has round pegs at the joints. This suggests a famous maker, but there is no signature that we could find. The comfortable cushion is newly upholstered and reasonably firm.
Size of this historic furniture is 28" wide, 30" deep, 35" tall and the seat is 17" high. A matching armchair is sold separately.
