This five-stack lawyer's Arts and Crafts period bookcase is signed by famous maker, "Globe Wernicke," and dates from the very early 1900's. There is a very fine lustrous finish on quarter-sawn oak, the old wavy glass is original except in the larger lower section.
Each interlocking section, plus the base and top, is separate, the doors operate smoothly. Size of this American antique furniture is 34 1/2" wide, 12" deep, 5'1" tall.
All sections hold books up to 9 1/2" deep, the top four will hold books up to 10" tall, the bottom section holds books up to 11" tall.
