Biedermeier Empire Antique 1840 Carved Sofa

Hand-carved of mahogany with matched flame grain, this lovely sofa is authentic Biedermeier or Empire antique furniture from about 1840.
The gleaming finish is excellent with warm patina, and the frame is firm and strong. Springs are also in good condition - this historic sofa is as comfortable as they come from the period.
Rich but understated upholstery is new. The backside was originally not finished, but has been upholstered to match, see photos.
Measurements of this elegant antique are 6' long, 26" deep, 33" tall and the seat is 19" high.
