Hand carved figures adorn this bookcase that is all original and dates from about 1890. Female figures are carved from single blocks of mahogany. The case is walnut with matched burl panels and ebonized moldings. The original finish glows and is in amazing condition, there is a worn spot in the center of the top below the glass doors - see photos. Upper doors have original wavy glass, and the wooden shelves are adjustable. The upper section separates for easier moving. Classic proportions are beautiful, and size is 45" wide, 18" deep and 6'11" tall.
