Dating from the 1870's, this charming country armoire or wardrobe is made of solid butternut. Raised panel doors and square nails show the skill of the original craftsman. It is very well constructed, even the back boards are 1" thick. There are various mars, dents etc. to give this piece loads of great character. Holes have been cut in the back for a TV, and there is a later closet pole and hooks inside. Both lower drawers have been rebuilt. Butternut wood has beautiful grain, and the finish has a glowing honey gold color. Remarkably sturdy, this piece could be used in a kitchen, office, family room or anywhere. It measures 5'2" wide, 22" deep and 6'2" tall.
