An engraved signature plate reads, "Schmieg & Kotzian, New York," on this exceptionally well made lamp or center table from about 40 years ago.

Masterfully carved details in fruitwood and the matched sunburst flame grain mahogany top are beautiful. The original finish has warm patina plus a few mars for character. Waxed and buffed, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its glow.

The top of this elegant vintage furniture has a scalloped rim, the top has a clever "floating" design to move with humidity changes.

Measurements are 26" diameter and 28" tall.
