We have never seen a miniature or child size whale oil lamp like this, exactly a smaller version of the usual size.
Cast in brass about 1850, there are four flames and a slide up cover to the central font. On the chain is a pick to adjust wicks.
The old patinated finish is beautiful on this American made antique, which can burn almost any fuel, now that whale oil is unavailable.
Height is just under 13" overall.
