Said to be from Pennsylvania, this marvelous corner cabinet was hand made about 1850. Solid walnut with raised panels, there are wooden pegs at the joints and hand made square nails.
The back is rough sawn, inside are grooves to display plates. Keyhole escutcheon are inlaid, but locks are missing and removable modern magnetic catches secure the doors.
The satiny warm finish is excellent, there are a few mars for antique character on this American country furniture, see photos.
Measurements are 54" wide, 81" tall and the radius of the sides is 37" from the front tip of the crown to the back corner.
