Understated yet with majestic inlay of pearl and ebony, this oak cupboard is signed with the royal crown of "Lysberg & Hansen," furniture makers to the royal family of Denmark. A fascinating antique from about 1900, the virtuoso workmanship includes a doorway in perspective, with pearl and abalone marquetry on burlwood.
Rich moldings suggest Renaissance inspiration for this piece. The original finish has been polished to a satin radiance, and this fascinating cabinet is in top-notch condition.
Inside are adjustable shelves, and the upper section is separate for easier shipping. Measurements are 51" wide, 21" deep and just over 6'3" tall.
