Empire Mahogany 1840's Sofa, New Italian Upholstery

This elegant late Empire sofa has graceful curving lines, flame grain mahogany, and a hand carved crest. It has been professionally repaded and upholstered in an deep rich red authentic Italian fabric.
The finish is excellent, and the frame is completely solid. Dating from the 1840's, this antique sofa has had several expert restorations over many years - see photos.
This is as comfortable as Empire furniture gets. The back was never finished or upholstered, and dimensions are 6'9" long, 27" deep and 37" tall.
